Leadership you can always trust

“I’ve lived what many of you live every day—scraping by, fighting to protect our families, and refusing to let the worst things define us. I’m running because I’m tired of watching politicians talk while our people suffer. We pick ourselves up, we honor those we’ve lost, and we build a district where our kids have a future.”

ABOUT THEODIS DANIEL
Building a Stronger Future Together
I’m Theodis Daniel, a proud Texan and military veteran. I’ve been through more than my share: my mother was murdered, and my son, DJ, is fighting a rare form of cancer.
I know what it means to face heartbreak and injustice and still keep going. In our neighborhood, it doesn’t matter where you come from—it matters that you get back up and work hard to make things better.

OUR MISSION
Our Priorities – Building a Safer, Stronger Future
We believe leadership means action, not talk. From safer streets to stronger schools, from respecting law enforcement to cutting government waste, our priorities put families first.
Every initiative is guided by one principle: accountability — to the people, to our communities, and to future generations.

Fight Crime – Tough Love and Targeted Action
We’re done with crime waves terrorizing Texas communities. Even when statewide numbers show improvement, that offers little comfort to parents who hear gunfire outside their homes or worry whether their kids will make it back safe. From small towns to border regions to our largest metros, too many neighborhoods are still living under the shadow of violence.
Texas needs tougher sentencing for violent offenders, real partnerships with faith leaders and nonprofit mentors, and serious investment in youth programs that offer a way out before a life is lost. Statistics may look acceptable in a report, but one violent crime is one too many.
I’ll fight for federal resources to expand community policing across Texas and to dismantle the drug and human-trafficking networks that poison our towns and exploit our people. In Texas, criminals should fear the badge, respect the law, and know there are consequences.

Back the Blue – Respect and Resources
As a veteran and a father, and as someone who’s spent more time in police stations than hospital waiting rooms, I know law enforcement isn’t the problem—it’s part of the solution. Across Texas, our officers are stretched thin, asked to cover growing populations with fewer resources, while neighboring states and major cities lure them away with better pay and support.
We can’t keep expecting Texas law enforcement to do more with less. I’ll fight to raise starting pay, recruit officers from the communities they serve, and expand training in de-escalation and the languages spoken in Texas homes. We’ll also make sure officers have access to mental-health support, because they carry the weight of trauma most people never see.
Backing the blue means giving officers the tools to protect our communities—and holding them accountable when that trust is broken. It’s about restoring respect for the badge, so kids across Texas know the officer on their street is someone they can trust.

Cut Waste – Fiscal Responsibility for Families
Growing up, I learned to stretch every dollar—and government should do the same. Across Texas, a small number of vendors too often capture the bulk of public contracts, while overtime costs balloon far beyond what taxpayers were promised.
That kind of mismanagement pulls resources away from the families who need them most. Too many Texans are living paycheck to paycheck, and they shouldn’t be forced to subsidize waste, favoritism, or incompetence. I’ll push for strict audits, transparent contracting, and an end to runaway overtime that drains public budgets.
The dollars we save should go where they belong: after-school programs, trade and vocational education, and accessible mental-health services. Every Texas taxpayer deserves to know their hard-earned money is being invested in safer streets and better schools—not lining the pockets of a select few.

Fix Schools – Opportunity Through Education and Parental Choice
Education is the ladder out of poverty. Across Texas, too many students come from economically disadvantaged households and face a real risk of falling through the cracks. That reality demands bold reform, not excuses. I support school choice and high-quality charter programs that give parents the power to choose the best education for their children—regardless of ZIP code.
We’ve seen that when schools focus on accountability and results, student performance improves. Campuses that embrace proven reforms have raised math proficiency and significantly increased science pass rates. Texas should expand what works and stop funding what doesn’t.
We’ll invest in strong bilingual education to serve the millions of Texas homes where English isn’t the first language, and we’ll hold failing schools accountable. Teachers deserve fair pay and meaningful training. Parents deserve transparency. And Texas students deserve a real fighting chance to succeed.
